Government Square to be closed Tuesday during construction work

CINCINNATI -- Construction work scheduled for Tuesday will close Government Square during busy commute hours in the morning and afternoon.

The transit hub in Cincinnati's Central Business District will be inaccessible from 7 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. while crews work on utility relocation and renewal, according to Jill Dunne of the Cincinnati Metro.

Construction work should last several days, Dunne said. Current routes will be shifted to accommodate riders who usually take Metro via Government Square.

All routes that use stops A, B and C (Routes 11, 33, 17, 19, 24, 46 and 43) will run via Area E on Fifth Street. Riders should look for signs that will list pick up and drop off locations, along with extra Metro workers to help riders find their way.
