The brewers at Yuengling Brewery in Tampa hope to return to work Monday after flames shot through the roof on Saturday night.
A Tampa Fire spokesperson said multiple units batted the fire that began at about 10 p.m. at 11111 N. 30th St.
Fire crews found heavy smoke and fire coming from the roof of the Yuengling Brewing Company storage building.
Flames shot through the southwest roof of the facility, according to Tampa Fire spokesperson Henry Williams. Images sent in by viewers showed the flames lined along the apex of the roof and the outer wall.
"Tampa firefighters made entry climbing 5 stories where they were met with dense smoke and high-heat conditions," Williams said.
A second alarm was called and fire crews attempting to reach the fire from the inside of the facility were evacuated. No facility workers were injured, but at some point, one Tampa firefighter sustained a minor injury and was transported from the scene via ambulance.
They were taken to a local hospital and later released.
A witness said several ladder trucks rained down water down on the fire, and smoke and flames were visible across the street at a strip mall.
The extent of the the damage to the brewery is being determined. A fire investigator is on scene and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
Crews were attempting to reach hotspots and embers around the third story of the building late Saturday night.
Tampa Fire Marshal investigators later ruled the fire accidental, but they are still trying to find the origin and exact cause.
Fire officials estimate the damage to be about $1 million.
