CINCINNATI -- A 19-year-old is in police custody, accused of breaking into a 72-year-old’s home and beating him.
The incident happened at about 2:55 a.m. Monday at a home in the 2300 block of Mandery Avenue.

Police said 19-year-old Lashawn Larkin and another person forced their way into the 72-year-old’s victim’s home and assaulted him.
When the victim tried to arm himself with a gun, officers said the pair beat him and took the gun.
Investigators said the pair fired several shots at the victim when they ran away.
Larkin was arrested in the 1600 block of Tremont Avenue about an hour after the incident was reported. He is charged with aggravated burglary.
According to police documents, an arrest is pending against Larkin's partner.
No other details have been released.
