WINCHESTER, Ohio - An 63-year-old Adams County man was reportedly shot by his step-grandson during a domestic dispute Monday afternoon, according to officials.
The incident occurred at a residence in the 200 block of Corboy Road in Winchester, Ohio just before 4:30 p.m.
According to police, Larry Young was involved in a domestic dispute with his wife and stepdaughter when his 14-year-old step-grandson allegedly heard screaming and obtained a gun from Young's vehicle.
Police say the teen reportedly entered the residence with the weapon and shot Young in the back.
Young was transported by a medical helicopter to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center. Authorities have not released any details on his condition at this time.
The teen was charged with felonious assault as a preliminary charge and remains in the Clermont County Juvenile Detention Center, officials say.
No other information was released at this time.
The shooting remains under investigation.
