CINCINNATI -- Boaters took 75 children for an exciting boat ride down the Ohio River Thursday.
Four boats carried the kids as part of the Faces without Places 17th Annual Summer Camp, and gave them a chance to see the city from a different perspective.
Thursday's young pirates are experiencing homelessness. Many live in shelters, with more than one family in a home or in local hotels.
"Show them all that's there in their own city, we think it really opens their eyes to a lot," Faces Without Places Executive Director Ramin Mahajer said. "Just to have a really wonderful day on the water. Many of them have never been on it (the river)."
