BURLINGTON, Ky. -- Want to help Boone County prepare for a worst-case scenario? Saturday is your chance to do just that.

The Boone County Emergency Management Team is looking for volunteers to help with a disaster drill at the county's fire training center on Conrad Lane in Burlington. The purpose of the drill is to help train some of the newest CERT members how to handle disaster situations.

Volunteers for the event will play the part of victims in simulations.

Anyone high school age or older is allowed to participate in training but volunteers under the age of 18 will need to have a parent sign a waiver.

People interested in volunteering are asked to wear old clothing that can be stained or damaged.

You can sign up by calling 859-334-2270 or email ldavies@boonecountyky.org.
