Bond set at $100K for sex offender accused of attacking woman in Hamilton parking garage

HAMILTON, Ohio – Bond was set at $100,000 Friday for a known sex offender accused of attacking a woman in a Hamilton parking garage Thursday.

Authorities said David M. Patrick, 27, sexually assaulted a woman in the McDulin Parking Garage’s stairwell near the corner of 2nd and Market Streets.

Police said the woman was walking from her car to the stairwell at about 7 a.m. when Patrick restrained her against a wall and reached under her skirt.

The woman was able to fight him off and escape out a second-level doorway, officials said. She was not physically injured.

Patrick, who is listed as homeless, was convicted in 2013 of attempted abduction and incarcerated in the Ohio Prison System. He was released from prison on June 24, 2014. He has been arrested for other attacked at the same garage, authorities said.

Patrick was arrested shortly after Thursday’s attack at about 9 a.m.

He was charged with gross sexual imposition, breaking and entering and abduction. He is being held in the Butler County Jail.
