Officer: Drunk man hits victim with police baton in fit of road rage
CINCINNATI -- A man who investigators say was "heavily intoxicated" when he hit a victim with a police baton in a fit of road rage is scheduled to appear in a Hamilton County courtroom Thursday for arraignment.
Michael Clark, 58, is charged with one count of felonious assault after the apparent attack Wednesday.
Police say Clark followed the victim to his father's home after the road rage incident on Northbend Road. Clark got out of his truck with a police baton and broke the rear window of the victim's truck before swinging the baton at him twice, striking him in the chest.
The victim took Clark to the ground and held him there until officer's arrived at the scene.
Investigators say Clark was heavily intoxicated but refused to submit to a breathalyzer test.
He is scheduled to be arraigned at 9 a.m.
