Rodney Grisham: Man charged in Kings Island gun-drugs incident pleads no contest

MASON, Ohio -- A Texas truck driver arrested after police said he brought weapons and drugs to Kings Island pleaded no contest and waived his trial Thursday, 9 On Your Side's Mario Ramirez reported.

Rodney Grisham, 37, could get up to four years in prison in the plea deal.

Judge Robert Peeler ordered a pre-sentencing investigation on Grisham because of his behavior with children at the amusement park that led to the search of his truck. The investigation could take 4-5 weeks.

Police said Grisham was arrested in July after park security officers received reports of suspicious activity, including one report that he tried to take a toddler from the child's older cousin.

Officers searched his truck and said they found one loaded firearm, children's videos and toys, a police-style baton, a Taser and non-licensed prescription medication.

Grisham remains jailed on $200,000 bond.
