KINGS MILLS, Ohio -- Crews were called to a pond in Warren County Wednesday afternoon when teens reported seeing a body in the water.
At least two teens were in the water in the 1700 block of King Avenue at about 5:30 p.m. When fire crews arrived, the teens' story fell apart, and they told officials they were doubtful they saw a body. As a precaution, and to make certain no one needed help, fire crews searched the pond.
The Fire Department brought a boat to the pond, but the pond's small size prevented the use of the boat.
Authorities stayed at the pond Wednesday evening to practice rescue drills. Several agencies were deployed, from Deerfield Twp., Hartwell Twp., and Turtle Creek Twp.
