CINCINNATI – After a postseason that ended earlier than expected and an off-season that’s been marred by change and uncertainty, the Reds organization is going a few extra miles to ensure fans are excited for the upcoming season.
The 2014 Reds Caravan will have four separate legs across five different states, including Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana, West Virginia and Tennessee. The bigger, broader caravan will cross 3,000 miles during the four-day baseball-centric road trip.
Starting Jan. 23, each of the four legs will depart from the Reds Hall of Fame before returning to the Queen City Jan. 26. All four legs will make their final stop at Great American Ball Park for the annual season ticket select-a-seat event.
During most stops, fans can interact with current and former players, broadcasters and front office personnel. That quality time with the Reds will likely include question-and-answer sessions, the chance to pose for pictures and sign autographs.
At each fan stop except the select-a-seat event, the Reds will raffle two tickets to the 2014 Opening Day game on March 31 against the Cardinals.
All fan stops are free and open to the public.
