The Cincinnati Bengals selected LSU running back Jeremy Hill in the 55th overall pick of the 2014 NFL draft Friday night.
The 22-year-old played two years for the Tigers while majoring in Sports Administration.
Hill chose to enter the draft in his sophomore year. He was eligible for the draft because he was three years removed from high school, according to his bio on LSUsports.net .
The 6-foot-2 Baton Rouge native sat out during the 2011 season, enrolled at LSU in January of 2012 and ran spring drills with his college team. Hill ended up becoming one of the top running backs in LSU history with 2,156 yards and 18 TDs on 345 carries.
In 2013, Hill gained 1,401 rushing yards - the school's second most for a single-season in history.
Hill's career highs include:
Attempts: 29 vs. Alabama, 2012
Yards: 216 vs. Iowa, 2013 (Outback Bowl)
Touchdowns: 3 vs. Ole Miss, 2012
Long: 69 vs. Mississippi State, 2013
