CINCINNATI – Moeller and Clinton-Massie are going back to the state football finals to try to repeat their 2012 titles while Loveland takes the stage for the first time.
Moeller won a defensive struggle with Hilliard Davidson, 13-11, Saturday in the Division I semifinal at Dayton Welcome Stadium. The Crusaders (13-1) meet Mentor (13-1) for the title at 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 7, at Canton Fawcett Stadium. Mentor beat Lakewood St. Edward, 41-38, in the other Division I semifinal.
Moeller quarterback Gus Ragland threw a 41-yard TD pass to wide receiver Chase Pankey and Matthew Coghlin kicked two field goals in the semifinal win.

“I’m proud of them. We were in a tight game," Moeller coach John Rodenberg said. "These guys have a lot of perseverance."
Moeller has won eight state football titles and was runner-up four times since the playoffs began in 1972.

Loveland is going to the Division II championship game after a second straight amazing comeback Friday night.
The Tigers scored the game-tying touchdown and two-point conversion with 17 seconds left, then beat Zanesville 38-35 on junior Evan Burig's 29-yard field goal in double overtime. Loveland erased a two-touchdown deficit in the fourth quarter against Mount Healthy last week.

The undefeated Tigers (14-0) will meet Cleveland Glenville (13-1) for the championship at 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 6, at Canton Fawcett Stadium. Glenville beat Medina Highland, 41-13.
Clinton-Massie (13-1), last year’s Division IV state champ, rallied with two fourth-quarter touchdowns for a 21-20 win over Kenton Friday night. C-M will play Youngstown Cardinal Mooney (10-4) at 3 p.m. Friday, Dec. 6, at Massillon Paul Brown Tiger Stadium. Mooney beat Steubenville 37-7.

Tickets for the championship games will be available through participating schools Dec. 2-4. Tickets may also be purchased at the stadium gates on game day. Tickets are $10 per game and sales begin 90 minutes before kickoff.
