Covington Catholic's Ben Dressman voted WCPO Player of the Week for Week 9

Franklin County senior Layne Harnishfeger was voted the WCPO Player of the Week for Week 6, picking up 8,927 votes (30.3 percent).

The Wildcats’ running back tallied 218 yards and four touchdowns on the ground to help Franklin County beat South Dearborn to earn his nomination.

Harnishfeger edged out Gallatin County’s Nate McCoy to win the award. Jonathan Scruggs of Holmes finished third in the voting conducted by TriStateFootball.com. In total, 13 players were nominated with 29,450 votes casted.

The Colonels quarterback passed for three touchdowns and added two rushing scores in a win over Holmes.

Dressman edged out McNicholas’ Sam Browning to win the award. TC Wells of Fairfield finished third in the voting conducted by TriStateFootball.com. In total, 14 players were nominated with 28,861 votes casted.
