Loveland senior Brian Popp was voted the Tri-State High School Football Player of the Week for Week 8, picking up 9.085 votes (52.7 percent).
The Tigers’ linebacker had a fumble recovery, 10 tackles, and a 70-yard INT return for a TD vs. Walnut Hills to earn his nomination.
Popp edged out Glen Este’s Tyler Pilcher to win the award. Kyle Orloff of Elder finished third in the voting conducted by TriStateFootball.com. In total, 12 players were nominated with 9.318 votes casted.
