Denver has struggled in recent weeks. The Pioneers are 2-5 in their last seven games, including a sweep by seventh-place Colorado College two weeks ago.
These teams split in Oxford on Dec. 6-7.
Trevor Moore in the lone Denver skater in double digits in goals with 12. He leads the team in points (12-16-28).
Quentin Shore, David Makowski, Joey LaLeggia, Ty Loney, Daniel Doremus, Gabe Levin and Nolan Zajac all have at least 18 points.
It should be Sam Brittain in net for the Pioneers both nights. He has logged over 90 percent of Denver’s minutes in net, and is 14-11-6 with a 2.09 goals-against average and a .931 save percentage.
The smart money is on sophomore goalie Ryan McKay starting at least the opener after he was 29-of-30 on Saturday in Miami’s 1-0 loss to Minnesota-Duluth.
