Road crews worked extra hard overnight Saturday to clear snow and ice after Mother Nature ripped through the the region Friday afternoon.

Several accidents slowed or affected traffic in and around the city throughout Friday evening. By Saturday morning 9 On Your Side's Kendall Herold reported many of the main roads were clean, with the exception of a few slushy spots around busy intersections and interstate ramps.

Where problems did exist? Parking lots. At 6 a.m. crews were out cleaning lots, but they still had a lot of work to do.
